At the heart of this machine is the helical cutter block. It features 44 TCT cutter heads arranged in a helical format over four rows. The blades themselves are machined to a convex profile to achieve a shear cut, resulting in an extremely high-quality finish to the timber. This method of cutting is extremely efficient and reduces the power consumed and strain on the machine when compared to the traditional 3-knife cutter block planer thicknesser.
