Designed to be the ideal heavy-duty bandsaw for the demanding home workshop, offering a host of innovative features and generous specifications, making it the most capable, powerful and easy-to-use machine in its class.

Most other bandsaws of this size can be difficult to set up and use and are often underpowered and poorly specified, leading to unsatisfactory results and frustration. The SABRE-450 has been carefully designed to be so easy and intuitive to use that it lets you focus on your woodworking rather than the machine itself, helping you achieve fantastic results whilst also maximising the enjoyment of your time in the workshop. This is the ideal machine for handling a wide variety of tasks, from small-scale work up to larger, heavier tasks such as resawing along the grain and heavy-duty ripping.

Blade guides are simple and easy to set up, featuring tool-free, intuitive adjustment that gives maximum blade support in just a few simple operations. Made from premium O1 tool steel, this dissipates heat far more efficiently than ceramic alternatives and give greater surface contact and support than many alternative guide systems.

Another key feature is the fence mount, with a cam-action design that quickly and effortlessly allows perfect alignment of the fence with the blade. fence position can be fine-tuned to within a millimetre, offering unparalleled accuracy without the need for tools or tedious adjustments of the fence rail, as is often the case on lesser machines.

SABRE-450 also features a mechanical braking system, an important safety feature for a machine of this size.

To further increase the performance of the bandsaw and improve safety for the user, we have introduced dual dust extraction outlets – the bulk of the waste is drawn from the machine via the 100 mm / 4” diameter outlet, which features the CamVac-compatible bayonet fitting. The secondary 63 mm / 2-1/2” port extracts fine, fast-moving waste as it enters the lower band wheel cabinet and is compatible with the standard Record Power 2-1/2” flexible extraction hose.

Please note that this machine requires a 16-amp electrical supply.

Double-Sided Fence Mount

A unique fence mount design allows the fence to be placed to the right hand side of the blade, with the fence extrusion secured on the opposite side of the mount.

Cam-Action Blade Tension Adjustment

Release and re-apply blade tension instantly using the cam-action handle. This makes changing blade simple and fast and if the new blade is the same as the old, the correct tension can be instantly re-applied on fitment.

Easy-Adjust Blade Guides

Spring-loaded blade guides can be adjusted quickly and easily without tools.

Resaw Bar Included

A resaw bar is easily installed to the fence and can be used when resawing long pieces. The timber pivots on the resaw bar to compensate for grain variations in the wood and to avoid the cut wandering.

Heavy Duty Double Trunnion

This industrial-style trunnion gives rock-solid support to the table and can be easily adjusted up to 45º using the substantial rack-and-pinion system and locked firmly in place with the large and easily accessible locking lever.

Table Levelling Pin

Perfect alignment of the table is ensured with the simple but effective leveling pin.
