Our First VersaLock jaw system, comprising 50 mm modular base jaws and 3 sets of inserts, is designed to offer the benefits of the most used jaws on a chuck whilst also providing many of the functions of a mini chuck.
The system will be expanded in the future with an even wider range of applications possible from additional VersaLock base jaws and inserts so that most applications can be quickly and safely accomplished with just a handful of base jaws.

How It Works
The VersaLock system uses a modular approach with a unique sliding screw mechanism. The base jaw features slots that allow the insert jaw to slide into place. Once the insert jaw is positioned, simply tighten the captive screw to secure it. This design prevents lost screws and enables jaw changes while the chuck is still mounted on the lathe.

62698 VersaLock Dome Jaw Inserts
These jaws are specifically designed to hold the smallest, most fragile work pieces, allowing you to get very close to support thin work as safely as possible. They also allow good access to work close to the base of a work piece without the tool fouling on the jaws. For maximum support always ensure the workpiece features a spigot long enough to be supported along the full length of the jaws’ internal surfaces.

62696 VersaLock 35 mm Long Dovetail Jaw Inserts
Ideal for smaller spigots and recesses, these jaws are incredibly versatile. The length of the jaws offers increased holding power on spigots and gives good access to the rear of workpieces when used in expansion mode. The 10 mm central bore is designed for holding small spigots, making them the ideal jaws for turning drawer handles, finials and other similar-sized projects.

These jaws are ideal for use with small workpieces, such as miniature boxes and the 13 mm central bore gives excellent support for small spigots such as those needed for decorative finials and similar projects.
