The Charnwood C14BX 14″ Bandsaw is modelled on the Laguna 14/BX, one of the most popular selling models in North America.

We can now offer the same outstanding build quality, large cutting capacity and innovative features at a fraction of the cost, making this an excellent choice for professional joinery shops and serious home workshops.

A one piece frame construction minimises distortion when the blade is fully tensioned. The quiet 1800w induction motor provides enough power to operate at the full 13” cutting depth. An internal brake quickly brings the blade to rest when the stop button is pressed.

The blade guide system has 5 sealed bearings at the top and 5 underneath the table. Each side of the blade there are 2 bearings allowing for greater support when using a 20mm blade. The rear bearing has a groove in the centre which allows a 3mm blade to be used for Scroll work. All of the bearings have tool free adjustment making the Cobra bandsaw one of the easiest bandsaws on the market to set up.

No extra guides are needed for scroll work on the Cobra as the rear bearings have a groove in the centre which can be adjusted from side to side to make sure the blade runs directly in the centre. The groove offers support for a 3mm blade allowing you to achieve scroll work in much deeper pieces of timber than is possible with a standard scrollsaw. Ideal for intricate box projects, toys, crafts, puzzles and much more.

There is a quick release blade tension lever that makes blade changing faster and this is complimented with an easy to view blade tension scale indicator to ensure correct tension set up.

The micro polished cast iron table is mounted onto an over sized double cast iron trunnion with two locking points that ensure there is a solid surface to work from. The table tilts to 45° with a positive stop at 90°. A flip plate allows reverse tilt up to 7° when required. In the centre of the table is an aluminium throat plate with 4 adjusting screws to ensure a perfect flush fit.

The parallel fence runs smoothly along a polished solid steel bar. The locking screw gives a positive lock which will not let you down and creep during repeat work. The measuring scale is marked in both Inches and Millimetres. The rigid aluminium high/low fence can be installed in 2 ways to ensure full and precise timber support for both large and small work pieces.

For crosscutting operations a sliding mitre guide is included. It has an incredible 180 degree rotation with preset stops at 0, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 67.5 and 90 degrees each way. The preset plunger can be locked out for dialing in any other angle.

Solid cast iron wheels are electronically / dynamically balanced & fitted with polyurethane one-piece tyres, designed to run cooler & last longer than conventional rubber tyres. The worm gear & pinion on the blade guard is ultra-smooth and engineered to have minimum flex even when fully extended.

When additional light is required on the job, the C14BX has a built-in power socket which can be used to power our optional ML28 LED light. The magnetic base can be fitted in several different positions and the flexible shaft will deliver the light where you need it.

Efficient dust extraction is achieved through 2 x 100mm (4″) diameter outlets, one located just underneath the table and one at the base. A deflector sends the dust into the collection port before it comes into contact with the lower wheel and other moving parts – extending their lifespan.

Supplied with British made 13mm blade, push stick, mitre guide, 1.9m cable with UK 3 pin plug.

Optional Items available for purchase additionally, or see our C14BX Packages

ML28 – LED Light with flexible shaft and magnetic mounting base.

W522 – Wheel kit for moving the saw around the workshop. Two foot pedals provide the lift when re-positioning.
